Our classes provide a fun, inclusive space for children ages 6-12 with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, OCD, and other neurodivergent diagnoses. Through ballroom dance, students build confidence, social, motor, sensory, and coordination skills while expressing themselves, making friends, and experiencing the joy of movement in a supportive environment.

Girls Flag Football is sweeping the nation and it’s time for Pewaukee girls to tag in! Flag football is a non-contact action-packed sport that is fast-moving and exciting. This program will teach fundamentals, rules, plays, and game strategies, and will then incorporate fun scrimmages. No football experience needed. Participants must wear a mouthguard. Football/soccer cleats are recommended.

Build-a-Scarecrow at Home

Be part of the fun on Scarecrow Lane! Advanced Triple Threat Pop-Up: Great Gatsby

Each month, students dive into a different show, learning the music, scenes, choreography, and history that bring it to life. This is a high-energy, immersive experience that helps performers connect training to real performance in a meaningful way!

Ballet I

Ballet I is the first classical ballet technique class. Students begin learning the basics of ballet technique while practicing at the ballet barre and with center dance combinations. Students practice age-appropriate dance steps, listening skills, taking turns, counting music, all while making new friends along the way!

Ballet II is the second level of ballet technique classes. This class is for students entering their second or third year of classical ballet training. New and slightly more challenging skills are introduced with an emphasis on tempo, counting music, and connecting movements with grace & balance.

Ballet III

Ballet III is the third level of ballet technique classes. This class is designed for students with three or more years of classical ballet training. Students begin learning more complicated patterns while still applying knowledge from their earlier years of ballet classes. Students begin learning basic anatomy and its application in the dance art form. This class meets twice a week.

Petite Feet I

Our firs level of primary dance for students under the age of 5. A fun introductory class where students become familiar with the dance studio setting, learn basic steps & words, as well as social & listening skills. Students who participate in the yearly session have the opportunity to perform in the year-end recital at the OAC. Starting in December students add tap technique into their practice.

This is our second level of primary dance for students under the age of 7. Students focus on taking direction, learning more coordination and combinations of ballet and tap steps. Pre-Pointe is the preparation class for Pointe. This class is for students in Ballet III and above with a minimum of five years of ballet training, who have been evaluated for dancing en pointe. This is a developmental sports program that uses a variety of fun games to engage kids while teaching the sport of football and developing fundamental skills. We build fitness, muscle coordination, football fundamentals and create a love of the game. We do not do any tackling or blocking at this level. Adult participation is required.

Ballet IV

Ballet IV is the fourth level of ballet technique classes. This class is for students with five or more years of classical ballet training. Students continue working on complicated patterns learned in previous ballet years while also developing new knowledge of ballet technique. Students learn basic anatomy and it’s application in the dance art form. This class meets twice a week.

Ballet V

Ballet V is the fifth level of ballet technique classes and is designed for more advanced dancers with six or more years of ballet training. Students are continually challenged with new, fun movement patterns. Students continue developing their knowledge of basic anatomy and it’s application in the dance art form. This class meets twice a week.

Ballet VI

Ballet VI is the sixth level of ballet technique classes and is designed for more advanced dancers with seven or more years of ballet training. Contemporary II

Stretching, Strengthening, and Conditioning

This 45 minute class is designed for current dancers looking to improve flexibility and strength, and is intended to work in tandem with students’ Ballet technique classes. For students enrolled in Ballet II and above.

Ballet I

Ballet I is the first classical ballet technique class. Students begin learning the basics of ballet technique while practicing at the ballet barre and with center dance combinations. Students practice age appropriate dance steps, listening skills, taking turns, counting music, all while making new friends along the way!

Contemporary I

Contemporary I is TTP’s introductory Contemporary Class where students will begin to learn the basics. Contemporary dance is a style of dance that combines ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical, and various other forms. Fall Laker Playgroup

Laker Playgroup introduces toddlers to learning through the Reggio Emilia philosophy with hands-on exploration, nature, art, music, and play. Guided by ULS educators, each class helps build social skills and a love of learning while parents and little ones explore, create, and discover together in a nurturing environment. Bring your own drink and snack and appropriate outdoor clothing.

Hip Hop & Rhythms 6-9 years

This dance crew explores tap dance, hip hop, basic jazz & rhythmic concepts using fun, age-appropriate music. Students who participate in the yearly session have the opportunity to perform in the year-end recital at the OAC.

Petite Feet I

The first level of primary dance for students under the age of 5. A fun introductory class where students become familiar with the dance studio setting, learn basic steps & words, as well as social & listening skills. Students who participate in the yearly session have the opportunity to perform in the year-end recital at the OAC.

Petite Feet II

This second level of primary school aged dance is for students under the age of 7. Students focus on taking direction, learning more coordination and combinations of ballet steps, distinguishing right from left and exploring musical dynamics and rhythm. The foundational concepts explored in both ballet and tap techniques in Petite Feet I are reviewed and expanded upon in this class.

Tots & Tails

For children ages 2–5 and their caregivers; this 1-hour program invites littles to enjoy story time with a snack, explore a fine motor activity and meet one of HAWS' friendly animal ambassadors. At the end of the session stay and socialize with one another, giving tots time to connect and caregivers a chance to chat and unwind. Bring a yoga mat or cozy blanket and get comfy!

Youth Painting Class- Art Among the Stars

Calling all young astronomy and art enthusiasts! 🌟🎨 Kids ages 5–14 will enjoy the planetarium show Two Small Pieces of Glass, exploring the history and science of telescopes. Then, local artist Jenny Carter will lead a step-by-step painting experience to create a colorful telescope masterpiece. All supplies are provided—just bring your creativity and curiosity! 🔭✨

Artsy Kids Adventure - The Great Art Adventure - Session 1

Each session has a new and exciting variety of art and craft ideas. We will highlight a different artist/crafter each week from America or other parts of the world! Go, Dog, Go Book Party with First Stage

Help First Stage teaching artists bring the Go Dog Go! books to life! Explore characters, play games, learn how First Stage brings books to the stage. There will also be an actor performance and ticket raffle! After the program, families are welcome to look at our adoptable pets around the shelter. Fall Semester Singing!

Spread the joy of the season by performing holiday music at local businesses and nursing homes. Sussex Singers provides students in grades 4K-6th grade with opportunities to learn and grow in their vocal performance skills in an ensemble setting. Children are encouraged to explore vocal music with confidence and experience the joy of sharing their musical gifts through community performance.

Fall Bird Count

Join members of the Benjamin F. Goss Bird Club at Retzer Nature Center for this family-friendly fall bird count. Our goal is to count as many different species of birds as possible, while within a 17-foot diameter circle on the west side of the building. A bird species is counted if they can be seen or heard. In previous years, there have been over 50 different species identified during the day!

Harvest Hop Dance Day

A festive & vibrant celebration of dance as 4-7 year olds rhythmically move through the crisp Autumn leaves, crafting creepy creatures, while learning seasonal dance choreography for a mini performance during the last 10 minutes of the dance day! Dancers will have a hoot & hollering, hay bale of a day!

Community Science Program: Pollinators

WI Science Fest

Discover the basics of the Earth's "Weather Machine" - sun, air, water, land, and ice. We'll learn how the global weather machine is responsible for Wisconsin's climate and compare our climate to different regions of the world. Then, head outside on the Retzer trails to measure current weather conditions and make predictions about our weather based on the season. (+Optional presentation 7-8:30 pm)

Birdhouse Workshop

Join us at Fisk Avenue to build and paint your own birdhouse! Our birdhouses are made of cedar planks, a safe outdoor ready wood perfect for many native Wisconsin birds. Assemble and paint the exterior to add your own personal touch and watch the birds fly in! A great option for kids and parents to make together or with adult supervision. Pick an hour and a half time slot that works for you!

Cello Lessons

My greatest passion is teaching in my private cello studio, where I work with dedicated students ranging from beginners to advanced players, ages 4 to retirees. Bring your Cadette Girl Scout troop to Fisk Avenue DIY to earn the Woodworking badge in a creative, hands-on setting! Scouts can build a blanket ladder or cedar planter box with guidance from our instructors. Projects cover all badge essentials: leveling, using tools, learning about saws, and sanding and finishing wood. Book for 6–15 scouts. A troop leader needs to attend and can join the fun!

Girl Scout Badges: Daisies and Brownies

Girl Scouts can earn their Maker’s Badge at Fisk Avenue DIY! Book a workshop in our studio for 6–15 scouts to explore art, tinkering, and creativity together. Daisies try painting or string art; Brownies can pour paint or build birdhouses. A troop leader needs to attend and can supervise or join the fun! Choose your time and date, and we’ll handle the details—just bring your imagination!
